Department

The Engineering department is Atelier 33’s research structure in the domain of electro-acoustical integration. It is headed by Michel Deluc. Since more than 20 years, its has been dedicated to develop exclusive and powerful sound projects.

« This scientific research and conceptualization department has a fundamental importance in our company. Its main objective has always been to develop unique and dedicated solutions. There have been many, many signatures and collaborations since more than 20 years, and some of them are still amazing, considering the complexity of the problems to be solved and the high quality of given solutions. For example, our recent collaboration with prestigious IRCAM Institute in the context of an European Wave Field Synthesis program. We had to develop and implement a system of more than 150 amplified speakers, each one independently controlled and addressed via an EtherSound audio network. In another domain, we worked many times with African artist Youssou N’Dour, to develop specific high-power monitoring systems for his Dakar recording studios. These systems were then adopted by several famous Paris recording studios. We worked on hybrid and innovating projects, like the first luminous speakers, created for a contemporary play, or the first Sound Case, imagined by the collective New York organization Soundwalk and based on a very elaborate triphonic sound system… And there are many innovating projects to come. These projects will allow our Department to help to improve the Amadeus brand recognition, and to popularize the ideas we have about sound. »

UX Quotes
The main control room of the Studios de la Chine fulfills every need of even the most demanding sound engineers. It offers extreme precision in both its acoustics and monitoring, and this makes it the best mixing studio in Paris !

Pascal GARNON
Mix engineer (Martin SOLVEIG, AIR, NTM…)

A few months ago, I discovered the Studios de la Chine recording and mixing studios, equipped with Amadeus custom studio monitors. I recorded a few projects recently that reconcile my way of thinking with huge studio monitors, usually flattering and tiring. The Amadeus custom speaker system at Studios de la Chine offer a magnificent sonic definition that allows me to perceive micro-details and a real tonal accuracy, across the bandwidth, even below 70 dB. These custom monitors are really sweet and enjoyable, regardless the music genres. Amazing, Amadeus !

Léonard RAPONI
Sound engineer, record producer, arranger and music conductor (Gilbert BÉCAUD, Charles AZNAVOUR, Richard CLAYDERMAN…)

I come to Studios de la Chine for the precision and tonal balance of the acoustics. The large custom monitors developed by Amadeus are simply amazing.
